
The duties of our police officers include the
protection of life and property, the prevention of
crime, the suppression of criminal activity, the
apprehension of violators of the law, assistance in
the prosecution of offenders, the regulation of
non-criminal conduct, and the preservation of public
order. In order to accomplish our
mission, our officers are available 24 hours a day
providing patrol and investigative services. We also
have available a Victim Advocate on call to assist
victims and their families in time of need.
The Waldo Police Department also believes in crime
prevention and to accomplish this mission we offer
both residential and business security surveys,
vacation house checks, a Community Care Program
(designed for our senior citizens) and a speaker for
your group on topics ranging from crime prevention,
to identity theft, and sexual offenders in your
neighborhood.
